HEAD COACH, PART-TIME

    Northampton Youth and Community Rowing, Inc. (NYCRI) seeks a head coach to support our rowing programs.  NYCRI offers on-water rowing programs for youth and adults during the spring, summer and fall and indoor programs for youth and adults in the winter.  Our boathouse is located on Old Springfield Road off of Rt. 10 in Northampton, Massachusetts.

   The successful candidate will have experience coaching rowing programs for youth and/or adults and a demonstrated knowledge of the workings of community rowing programs.

Qualifications:  Ability to interact favorably and to communicate effectively, in speech and in writing, with coaching staff and with our youth and adult rowers as well as the parents of our youth rowers.  Ability to initiate, organize and work independently.

Location: From March through October work is based at the boathouse of Northampton Youth and Community Rowing although some work may  be performed from home.  November through February work is performed at an indoor facility that is not connected to our boathouse.

This is a non-benefited, part-time position with hours that vary by season.  The hours are on average 25/week.

Salary = $20,000
